Jaldapara National Park / Chilapata Forest / Buxa Tiger Reserve

Dooars are the floodplains and foothills of the eastern Himalayas in North-East India. The name of this region has been derived from the word “Duar” which means “door” and it serves as a gateway to Bhutan from India. In West Bengal, the region of Dooars falls in the district of Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar and Cooch Behar.
